For the very first time (she's old enough) Johanna got to go horseback riding! She loved it, even after getting swiped in the head with a tree branch when Gidgett walked too close to a tree.

She had fun feeding all the horses carrots and apples too. Below, she's swimming in cold Lake Tahoe--brrrr. She warmed up on the sand afterwards.

Hurray--her last swimming lesson (after 3 years)! She passed her waterproofing test with flying colors!

Checking out the Zoo map after watching the grizzly bears run around searching for treats.

We took home the silk worms and cocoons from her kindergarten class for the summer. These are the the moths that remain (all others laid eggs and died).

Having fun with their grandparents who stayed overnight with each of their kids' to spend time with their grandchildren! They were exhausted by the end but the grandkids loved it!

Her First Grade teacher!

The girls current favorite stuffed animals--cheetahs from a friend's birthday party at Build-a-Bear (and, of course, Johanna also with Spot).
