Kaitlyn was born in 1998 in Guangdong Province, China. We became a family on 11/8/99 when we received her at the Sanshui Social Welfare Institute in Guangdong Province, China.

This is our referral picture we received upon finding out . Ai-Chi Fu was going to be our daughter. Ai-Chi means love and beautiful jade. Kaitlyn Joella means pure and God is Lord.

This is how Kaitlyn looked when she was placed in our arms! While in China, we learned she would only sleep if she had her "bo-bo". Thankfully, it turned out any wash cloth would do!

After our return from China late November, she weighed 17.9 pounds, was 28-1/4" tall with 4 teeth. All her tests showed she was healthy and her doctor said she was on target for which we praised God!

Kaitlyn has been sleeping through the night! In China she would only drink formula. Now she eats solids and drinks milk and juice. No allergies have appeared--hurray!

She loves to "talk" especially when "reading" her books. Though she says "mama" and "dada", she's just now starting to associate those words with her mommy and daddy! She says "dau" for "dog" every time she sees Smokey, our 9-year old chow chow. She crosses her legs like mommy (oh no) and is toddling around!
